The rapid development and implementation of digital health interventions have been evident in the last two decades. However, the scope and application of digital technologies in public health is not well delineated, and there is a gap in understanding the implications of public health factors on digital health strategies. This scoping review project aimed to define the scope of “digital public health” as an emerging field and identify the relevant research and practice gaps.
