2S/LGBTQ+ Health

Our research focuses on the intersections of digital and sexual health, and the health of Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and other gender and sexually diverse (2S/LGBTQ+) people. We are also interested in research that supports improved care for 2S/LGBTQ+ people. Our current research on 2S/LGBTQ+ health includes areas such as STBBI testing for gay, bisexual, and other sexually diverse men, and gender-affirming care for Two-Spirit, trans, and non-binary people.

Gender-affirming care

Gender-affirming care can be broadly defined as health care provided to an individual to support their gender identity. It is essential to trans, Two-Spirit, non-binary and other gender-diverse people. Our projects are currently centred on the provision of gender-affirming care to youth and to neurodivergent adults in Canada.
